THE HIGH WAYS OF AMERICA

My Dear Kush ,

I have told you some thing about the highways when we went to Casino- perhaps Mahegan or like that. Now, on this Friday 23rd August,2013 , we decided to visit Niagara falls which is 475 miles or about 750 KM from Sharon and your mausajee decided to travel  by car ; according to him ,it may take 7-8 hour journey. In India, it is difficult to make such a long  journey and to come back next day. You may consider this journey as if we are going from Jabalpur to Hyderabad ( to Nagpur about 225 Km and from Nagpur to Hyderabad 500 Km). How much tiring is that journey , you may ask  your Papa but here we  plan to go by car, visit there and come back next day; all this is because of its roads..   

I am attaching photos of this high way which were taken specially for you. You may note some important differences :

• In the journey , we noted mountains but there was all greenery or trees over the mountains .How these trees are growing on rocky mountains ?
• In our Indian journey, we have to cross many valleys and to ride on many rocky hills ,causing great fears in the heart of your mama (remember Nagpur journey). But here both these things were absent. No doubt valleys were seen, but we passed it through  bridges showing no difference from other locations.
• We have to travel three states- Massachusetts , Canicute and New York state (its both ,state and city ). In New York state, its Buffalo town (also having a university-see photo) and the fall is only 16 miles away from Buffalo university- there are hotels ,where we stayed for one night. 
• During journey ,if tired, you may take rest, may eat etc but for this you side track to service area which is just to road side but away from main rout- it has urinal, car parking (no charges), petrol pump (here mobil) eatery etc you may stay to what ever time you wish .Photos of one such place where we rested .
• We crossed Toll tax also but it was only two-three ,in all our journey , and there was not much rush-certainly not like India- see the photo.
• Here trucks are closed and some are of double length which will block our whole road ,if ply there.
