APPLE PICKING AND AMERICAN FARMS

22nd Sept 2013

My Dear Kush,
Its amazing to see American farms. Though Indian Agricultural Universities ,since 1960, have started  on American Agricultural Universities land grant pattern, yet I have not seen such Agricultural produce in India. Their apple trees are like bush but full of apples ,while pumpkin is so big difficult to imagine ; onion each about half kg , branjal , 1 kg and potato each about 200-400 gm . There is a bird , bigger than poultry, might be a sibling of ostrich ? This is the reason , their per unit production is so large- the matter of great research .... Now , check yourself a farm which we visited for apple picking . Its very large  having about 10 tractors to carry the visitors from entry point to the apple farm ...

I fail to identify this bird- not a fowl ,nor an ostrich.
